To be included in the Shaw Islander Member Directory, you should be:

  • Full or Part time resident of Shaw Island, or
  • Willing to contribute and be part of our community

Please note:

  • Please select the membership level that reflects the number of adults in your family.
  • The first member of the family to register will be the administrator of the account.
  • Please add each family member individually. Please do not add your names jointly like "John and Mary".
  • If you have already paid your 2022 member dues this year, please ignore the system generated invoice as it may take us up to a week to manually reconcile it with your previous payment.

How to add a family member to your account


Frequently Asked Questions

  1. If I need help with the Shaw Island Member Directory, who should I contact?
    Answer: You can email shawdir.help@gmail.com for any questions. Response times may vary.

  2. Will my contact information be shared publicly?
    Answer: No. We do not sell any member information and only Shaw Island Directory members have access to the online directory. Members of the public do not have access to the member directory. 

  3. How do find my login username and password?
    Answer: When you sign up for the Shaw Island directory, you will have received an email with your username (which is usually your email address), along with your computer generated password. You can use this password to log in and change it to something you can remember.

  4. Who is the admin of my account?
    Answer: The person who signed up for the account is the admin of the account. Only that person can log into and change the information of the other users in that account.

  5. Can I upgrade or downgrade the number of users in my account?
    Answer: Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade the number of users by contacting shawdir.help@gmail.com.

  6. If I don't want to pay using a credit card, how do I send in a check for my membership or recycling fees?
    Answer: You can send a check made payable to:

  7. Can I be included the printed directory without being in the online directory?
    Answer: No.

  8. I paid my Shaw Island member dues by sending in a check. Why does it still show up on the directory that I owe money for my membership fees?
    Answer: Once we receive your check, we will record in the membership directory that your membership fee has been paid. Please allow for up to 2 weeks for us to process your payment.

9. If I join the Shaw Directory, does that mean I will automatically become a Shaw Inc member?
     
Answer: No. Inclusion in the Shaw Directory will not automatically give you membership to Shaw Inc.
