Memoir Class

This 5-week class will help you find your voice and bring your personal stories to life. Using comfortable, non-threatening group exercises and prompts to get the juices flowing, we’ll focus on tools such as concrete imagery, dialogue and point of view to write past the censor and get new work onto the page. A good choice for both experienced and new writers. Class is limited to 12 participants.  

Time:  Tuesdays mornings, 10:30 – 12 noon

Dates:  March 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30

 Lorrie Harrison, of Lopez Island, is an author, publisher, editor and writing coach. Her book Kindred Spirits: Stories, Passions & Portraits from the Heart of Community, written in conjunction with photographer Greg Ewert, was named  Inspirational Book of 2001 in Writers’ Digest Self-Published Book Awards. Lorrie has been a visiting writing instructor at Washington State University and teaches summer writing workshops in France and winter writing programs in the Pacific Northwest.
